Hi, I am Ziqiu Ye (叶梓秋). Welcome to my homepage.
I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the School of International Trade and Economics at the University of International Business and Economics (since Nov 2020).
My primary research interests lie in the domain of Operations and Marketing Interface, Managerial Economics, Digital Economy, and Industrial Organisation. Since the advent of the internet network, conventional market structures and dynamics have been evolved into more diversified formats. Such diversification has accommodated alternative channels for market participants to interact differently, and meanwhile has promoted the rapid increase in data availability. By employing both analytical modelling and empirical approaches, I am broadly interested in investigating the research topics that are enabled by such technological advancements. Particular markets I am currently studying include digital publishing, online marketplaces, crowdfunding, and sharing economy.
I obtained my Ph.D. in economics from the National University of Singapore in March 2020. Prior to that, I studied at the National University of Singapore for my Master of Social Sciences (Aug 2012 - May 2014) and Bachelor of Science (double major in statistics and economics, Aug 2008 - May 2012).
