My primary research interests lie in the Operations and Marketing Interface, Managerial Economics, Digital Economy, and Industrial Organisation. Since the advent of the internet and various technological innovations (e.g., blockchain and artificial intelligence), conventional market structures and dynamics have evolved into more diverse forms. This diversification has created alternative channels for market participants to interact and has also led to a rapid increase in data availability. By employing both analytical modelling and empirical approaches, I am broadly interested in investigating research topics enabled by these technological advancements. The particular markets I am currently studying include digital publishing, online marketplaces, crowdfunding, and the sharing economy.
Previously, I served as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of International Business and Economics from Nov 2020 to Dec 2025. I obtained my Ph.D. in economics from the National University of Singapore in March 2020. Prior to that, I studied at the National University of Singapore for my Master of Social Sciences (Aug 2012 - May 2014) and Bachelor of Science (double major in statistics and economics, Aug 2008 - May 2012).
